The Purpose of the Virtual Data Base

a) Creating a highly flexible, understandable data saving organization which has the capability of any development.

b) Enabling a quick distribution of each and every information by heterogeneous structures in one single data unit (DB file) (several DB files are possible according to free definable criteria) and, nevertheless, guaranteeing the structures of a data base.

c) Flexible filing of information elements for controlling programs and IT systems without strict rules in the data base as well as executing program functions.

d) Storing and executing IT processes without extra programming on the base of filed information elements.

e) Filing information (documents, data, pictures, films) and their linking to a different data base structure.

f) The possibility of installing and executing the VDB on other types of data bases.

g) The information of stored processes is understandable at any time, in spite of its high flexibility.

h) The support of programs and systems using the VDB, especially during the execution of IT processes such as transformations, control of programs and systems, respectively the execution of single program functions with a central control device and information management program (CI).

The System

Because of having clustered all information from alpha to gamma, respectively delta, the organization becomes clear, flexible and capable of development. Because of the possibility of freely shaping the definition levels, you have an unknown variety of possibilities in shaping the data base. It enables you, for example, to build up references to every level (anchor of the level) as well as to every field. This simplifies the organizational structure of the VDB and keeps it flexible considering the shape of its content. As a result, the data actually define and reference themselves in the VDB.

Thus the saving can be totally heterogeneous. The physical succession of savings is therefore not regulated for the levels and stays understandable due to an absolutely logical succession of saving.

Because of that, any authorized person can perform entries and modifications in the VDB. Extensions of the structures are possible without any problems in the beta level even if there is already data in the gamma level.

The VDB allows the direct accesses to the smallest unit (data and information level-gamma) without the higher levels being known. But all higher levels (definitions and organization )can be reached from there. The specialty here is that the data or structures can be derived simply over a higher level due to the clear and logic succession of savings in the VDB.

The central control device and a information management program (CI) supports access to information in the gamma level (e.g. instructions and the postponed process data such as structures, allocations, rules of processing etc.), which does not need to know the control facility in its meaning and structure. CI learns how to structure and sort by the definitions and descriptions in the levels beta and alpha. Function rules in the VDB enable CI to execute all processes which are described there. The CI itself does not need to know what stands behind the information. The results of the information are used by CI itself (passing on, calling of functions or programs) or other programs (returning ascertained results).
